  • 14' x 5' handmade Mesquite island, with two copper sinks, anchors the kitchen
  • Beautiful custom cabinetry features strong lines and graceful curves. My designs were flawlessly executed by master cabinet maker Vasyl Melchenko
  • Use of several cabinetry styles gives the room a sense of having "come together" over time

  • Classic design with a modern, minimalist mindset

The clock was ticking on this outdated kitchen; a few design tweaks and new functional
custom cabinetry kept this kitchen from turning into a pumpkin.
  • Traditional closet pantry removed and replaced with efficient cabinetry-style pantry
  • Gone are the fluorescent strip lights, replaced with recessed and accent lighting
  • Exotic granite and copper slate backsplash add color and texture

Gothic motifs is the focal point of the home.
  • This million-dollar builder home called for a showplace kitchen
  • Beautiful handmade natural cherry cabinetry
  • The layout functions to keep work space separate from entertainment space and still allows for interaction

  • New large openings into living and dining spaces allow the kitchen to be the center spoke of the home
  • Armoire-style pantry also serves as kitchen control center and homework area
  • Large chocolate island with seating and cooktop makes the cook part of the action
  • Custom glazed cabinetry - a place for everything and everything in its place

  • Large Galley kitchen created by removal of walls between kitchen and dining room
  • Plenty of seating at the peninsula for this growing family.
  • Cream cabinets, Java floors and a Roasted Pepper baking center colors are repeated in the glass tile backsplash.
  • What was boxy, isolated and cramped is now open and fun

How do you make a kitchen and laundry room function as one? Creative solutions.

  • Removed laundry closet and small pantry, opening up the floor space
  • Traded 3-foot door for 8-foot opening between living room and kitchen
  • Removed peninsula, created new layout for custom cabinetry
  • Designed a "hidden" laundry center along cold wall with plenty of armoire-style pantry space
